The SSS GSA is an alliance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, Two Spirit, questioning, intersex and straight youth. Our goal is to provide students across the gender and sexuality spectrum a safe place within the school community for socializing and support. We are committed to acceptance and fair treatment of all youth.

NEW Drop-In for LGBTQ Youth and their Friends :)

The Fraser Valley Youth Society is has created a safe community space for LGBTQ youth to hang out and to build connections with other youth, youth workers and volunteers.  Drop-in activities vary from week to week, but include movie and game nights, talent shows, educational workshops, cooking nights and guest speakers.

Join us on Wednesdays from 6-9 pm at the Neighbourhood Learning Centre (part of the new Chilliwack Senior Secondary building).  Contact Angela for more information:  angelao.fvys@gmail.com.

Apply for CampOUT by March 30th!

What is CampOUT? It is: 
  • An empowering summer camping experience for BC’s queer, trans and allied youth aged 14-21.
  • An opportunity to become leaders for social change and make friends, access resources, engage in imaginative, critical, and innovative workshops as well as traditional camp activities like canoeing, campfires, and arts and crafts.

Blue about the Olympic Games in Russia?

Want to make it a little more RAINBOW? Check out The Fair Games Project: (also on Facebook). I've added the link to Watch This! below as well. The group wants to use "viral video" to promote awareness of injustice to LGBTQ people around the world. I am not advocating that you donate to their cause, but suggesting that you have a look at how one group wants to protest discrimination of LGBTQ rights in Russia and around the world while still supporting gay and straight athletes in the Games.
